Mauricio Avendano, Network Associate, is Principal Research Fellow at the Social Policy Department of the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he leads a research program on the links between economic fluctuations, employment and health, and the role of Welfare state policies in shaping these associations across European countries and the United States. His current work focuses on disentangling the impact of social policies on health, integrating approaches from social epidemiology and economics.
